Back Logs
Hi family! I am having serious issues getting this formatted. I can't even get it to skip to the next line. I had planned on showing you the fun stuff we've been doing, but I want to wait so I can actually make it look nice on the blog. Dumb blogspot! Oh, well. Here's some more back log

Exciting! A new puppy! Its whats on our minds. Introducing Cinna
She is every bit as much Bruce's dog as she is mine
He had to put socks on so we could take the dogs for a walk. Turns out his dinosaur needed the sock on his head more.
Kita doesn't always keep up. Bruce had to carry her. And pose for the camera, of course.
In Grandma's tree the last time we were there.
Ok, now on to the things we've been doing with our time.
Painting with home made puff paint:
I've Been Slacking
Sorry.
Life gets crazy, you know? And unfortunately, you guys haven't been kept in the loop. Also unfortunate, I have lost track of when things happened. I am cleaning out my phone of all the old photos, so some of these might be repeats. Sorry. I might not be very good at this bloging thing after all.
Here's some stuff that's been in my phone for a while. There is no rhyme or reason to the ordering.

I love it when he wears my shoes
This is a position gymnasts call "Lazy Boi". I think Bruce has it down.
This is an old picture, but its one of my favorites.
On a rock at our local park.
This ones pretty old too. Look at his cute, chubby cheeks!
I think he was trying to put his foot through the plastic loops.
I love bath time.
This is from home coming week- 80's day. Our neighbor was kind enough to help with the hair (she misses the 80's and got a kick out of ratting someones hair for the first time in years).
Speaking of being very cool...
When eating with a spoon was still very hard
Because sometimes this is the only way you can get him to lie down. You cant tell from the picture, but he's squeezing pretty tightly.
These are so old! Its nice to see him so young again.
From when he giggle, cackled, and guffawed every time he was in the swing.
I miss those days.
At the library
With his then new chair
I find Calla in the craziest positions while she sleeps
But she poses for pictures very well
From our trip to San Lorenzo Canyon
The faux hawk
The unicorn spike
Both from days when he didn't fight tooth and nail when we washed his hair. I miss those days too.
More to come very soon, family. Love to you all.

Laundry Mat
Lots to do yesterday!
There was unpacking:
There was unpacking:
And then we went to the laundry mat which means we needed things to do. We took a lot of things, but the thing he liked most and spent the most time doing was stringing shape beads:
This is the finished result:
So we had some fun at the laundry mat between running around pointing out all the circles on the doors of the washers and the squares where you put in the soap. There was a fair amount of running to the three video game stations that were there too. One had a joy stick (apparently its called a joy stick for a reason: Bruce was elated!) and another had three steering wheels. A little girl, probably about 6 years old, was there. She was playing with the steering wheels too, which meant there was one for each of us. The girl said that I was the last to finish, which meant I was in 5th place because thats the last place, the one for the loser. Funny story from later- I was hauling the wet clothes over to the dryer when the little girl left with her mom. I turned between the banks of machines to see her running down the aisle and immediately thought, Bruce is going to run after her I bet. I was right. Less than two seconds later he was sprinting after her. So I jumped out from the washers in time to catch him before he got outside. The timing was perfect. The people watching thought it was cute/funny/something because they all started chuckling.
So we had adventures at the laundry mat.
One last thing. Bruce has a thing for pumpkins. A big thing! He talks about them all the time. He points them out when they're on tv. He tries to carry his moms around every time he can. So yesterday we went to walmart so I could pick up some medication and bananas (he has a thing for those too) and in the produce section they had bags of mini pumpkins for $2.50. What a deal. He loves them so much he's been carrying them around, stacking them, sorting them from biggest to smallest (I was very impressed by that!) and generally talking about them incessantly. It might be the best $2.50 I've ever spent.
Sending our love. Cant wait to see you guys.

Moving
Moving is tough.
Thats all I had to say. Thanks for listening.
Ok, just kidding. Here's part of the reason why moving is tough. Gargoyle cant help pack.

But I managed to keep Bruce busy for a few minutes while I was unpacking. Thank you pinterest. Where would we be without your wonderful ideas? Not a good place. Not a good place.
We'll be seeing you soon grandparents. Sending our love till then <3

Calli Turns 9!
Birthdays call for presents, and presents means lots and lots of wrapping paper. Getting to the good stuff took some work!
These are gifts from her father, step mother, and her Grandparents W.
In the mailing paper isn't bad enough! Here's some regular wrapping paper.
Boxes are problematic. Gargoyle had to step in to cut it open...
...Turns out it was well worth the wait
The dresses look very nice on her. You'll have to check the facebook page to see her wearing them, though. Sorry guys.
Now for the gifts from Grandma S.
The anticipation is all but palpable!
She really was happy, and loved the presents, but she got confused trying to pose for two cameras.
The shirts fit her very well and she looks very cute, with just enough room to grow.
She really liked the card.
Now the gift from Gargoyle.
Its difficult to see from the picture, but its a set of hair accessories with sparkles. Needless to say, she loves them.
Next came my gift. I'll post more about that later.
And from Rosie, a set of Extreme! Crayolas. Not regular crayons- Extreme! Crayolas. She loves these too.
Gifts from Calla's mom and daddy came last. I thought it might be best to video it instead of take individual photos. But I kind of, sort of missed when she was actually taking the stuff out of the bag. Oops. So I made do... Also, very unfortunately, I cant (figure out how to) rotate the video. Sorry guys.
What were we doing with Bruce this whole time, you ask? How did you know he wasn't here for all the festivities? Was it the lack of excess ripping of paper and boxes? Was it the fact that Calla had the opportunity to pose for all these pics with the gifts? Well, whatever gave it away, you were correct in thinking Bruce could not be present to have such an easy going party. We stuck him in the bathtub. He had a great time. He wouldn't take toys with him, so I gave him the containers again. It was going great until Calla's daddy had to leave because of shrieking. He had dumped an entire bowl of water on the floor. So the punishment was that he had to drain the tub. He didn't get out for another 15 minutes. This is what he was doing.
I wish I had kept videoing for a few seconds longer. He started saying "cheese" for the camera. Goober. He loves cameras as much as his now 9 year old sister.
It was a good day for this huge clan of ours. Calla got to stay home from school today. When we took the others to school today, she got to tell me where to turn to get home. She had a great time sending us all over town. Then she watched cartoons with Bruce. They got to veg out because its a special occasion. The family (minus Gargoyle who has an evening class) went to dinner at El Cam. Calla got strawberry pancakes and hot chocolate. How much better could a birthday dinner be? Then we opened presents. We're all pretty tired now, so we're turning in. Calla sends her thanks for the gifts and love to all the family. So do I.
